Your CRM Isn’t Broken, You’re Just Using it Backwards!

Your CRM Isn’t Broken. You’re Just Using It Backwards.

I hear this all the time. “My CRM doesn’t work.”

Nope. Your CRM is fine. You just don’t have a system yet.

Here’s the mix up

Software isn’t the problem. If you don’t have a system and you don’t have good habits, there’s no reason to even open that piece of software. It’ll just sit there.

Most agents have this backwards. They think the CRM is the strategy. It’s not. The CRM is the tool. Your system and your methodology have to come first. Then the technology supports it.

What happens when you get it backwards

You log in for a few days. You add some contacts. You feel motivated. Then life happens and you ghost it for three weeks. Then you log back in, feel guilty, and repeat the whole cycle.

That’s not a CRM problem. That’s a missing system problem.

What actually works

Build your system first. Know your touch points. Know your follow up rhythm. Know what you’re going to say and when you’re going to say it. Once that’s in place, your CRM just becomes the thing that helps you execute it without letting anything slip through the cracks.

Do it that way and your CRM isn’t a chore. It’s leverage.

The bottom line

A CRM without a system behind it is just an expensive Rolodex. Put the relationships and the strategy first, let the technology carry the weight, and that’s when it actually grows your business.
